Our Senior Fitness Sessions
Seniors can choose to sign up for a personal training membership that includes two, three, or five sessions per week, depending on their fitness objectives. Our facility is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with sessions starting every 30 minutes. The flexible scheduling makes it simple for seniors to participate at times that suit their lifestyle and family needs.
During the sessions our trainers will tailor the exercises to meet the individual’s goals. They can include activities like mobility machines, weight-bearing exercises, balance and functional movements. We want the seniors in attendance to feel comfortable and safe during all movements, so we make sure to move at an appropriate pace. New exercises or weights are added as the seniors’ strength improves.
Our team will assess and work to improve the range of motion, correct imbalances between both sides of the body, reduce tightness, and enhance overall balance. Trainers guide participants through movements that target specific areas. This careful approach helps seniors improve function while minimizing the risk of injury. Over the years, our team has worked with people suffering from Parkinson’s, dementia, balance issues, osteoporosis, injuries and joint replacements.
Benefits of a Fitness Trainer for Seniors
Senior fitness programs offer various benefits for individuals, including supporting social connections, improving strength and preventing injuries. Our group training sessions provide an ideal opportunity for seniors to interact with individuals from all walks of life. They can chat before and after sessions, and keeping in touch with other members can help build motivation and accountability.
Personal training workouts also provide opportunities for seniors to build strength and muscle mass. As we age, building and maintaining muscle is key to combating issues such as reduced bone density, joint weakness, and everyday fatigue. It also helps to reduce the risk of falls by increasing balance and coordination skills.
Regular exercise can also make everyday tasks easier and more manageable, allowing seniors to maintain control over their routines. Improved strength, balance, and flexibility mean they can move confidently around the house, run errands, or enjoy hobbies without relying on others. By staying active, seniors gain a greater sense of freedom and self-reliance, which can have a positive impact on both their physical and mental well-being.

Safety Tips for Senior Fitness
Taking the proper precautions when performing fitness activities as a senior will help prevent the risk of injury. Working out alone may make it harder for an individual to determine if they are using correct form or overexerting themselves. Working with a personal trainer for seniors is beneficial as they will provide guidance on proper warm-ups, cool-downs and form.
Trainers will also offer tips for exercising safely while managing chronic conditions or recovering from recent surgeries. Trainers recommend appropriate equipment and modifications to match a senior’s strength and mobility levels. These targeted programs help prevent overuse injuries and address specific health conditions. Trade solo workouts for expert-led classes designed for seniors by joining Fit Theory today.
